Sidharth Malhotra's Film On Racing Goes Up In Smoke

Last year, Karan Johar signed Remo D'Souza to direct a film with Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. The film in question, which was supposed to be on the lines of the hit Hollywood franchise The Fast and The Furious and revolved around illegal street racing and heists, might never be made.

"We had planned the film on a lavish scale but couldn't put it together. Karan, Sidharth and I have now moved on to other projects. I don’t know what will happen to the Sidharth film. It was an exciting project though," admits Remo, who will now start his superhero film The Sardaar  with Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez in June.

Remo's next ABCD 2, a dance film, is a sequel to the 2013's ABCD: Any Body Can Dance starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.

ABCD 2 is now complete. Adds the choreographer-turned-director, "I have shot 15 dance sequences in ABCD 2; I am drained. Tigers film will be heavy on action and not dance."
